2012 Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration Art Contest

Each year, there's an art contest to help celebrate Asian Pacific Islander Month that is open to all students to showcase Asian Pacific Islander heritage and culture in America.

Requirements:
The contest is open to all students. Artworks must be orginal and made specifically for this contest. Preferred size id 8" by 15". Mount on middle weight standard art board with 2" border. Attach a card in the lower left hand corner that has the title of the piece, your name, grade and school. Complete release form and turn it in with your artwork. Only one art piece per person can be submitted.
Judging:
A panel of judges of professional artists and art professionals will judge the artwork.
Awards:
The top art pieces by grade level will be displayed at the API Heritage Month Celebration on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Seattle Center. Winners will be introduced on stage and have their art pieces displayed during the Seattle Center Celebration and during the month of May at other sites.
